Wire Color for reverse lights?

I am installing a backup camera and want to hook the power of the backup camera up to the reverse lights power wires.

Does anyone know which color(s) the reverse light wires are in the trunk?

Thanks for the tip. I tried to follow which wire went to which light but I couldn't get the metal panel off that would reveal which wire went where. So I guessed (dumb I know) Turns out the green and green with white stripe goes to the brakes.

Anyways, slightly off topic, I have another question.

I used speaker wire as sort of an extension for my camera wires. I cut my camera wire which reveal 4 inner copper wires. Two for power and two for video. (This was necessary since the camera wire had a bulge that wouldn't fit through the hole behind my license plate.)

The power seems to work fine, but does speaker wire work for extending a video cable? The video cable has a yellow end like the RCA red, white and yellow cables. I could get flickering to show up on my car stereo whenever I hit the brakes, indicating power was working, but no image showed up so I assume using that speaker wire to lengthen that video cable was a bad move.

Any thoughts?

Edit: I know, lots of bad decisions here but the camera was only 18 bucks and the only wire I had lying around was speaker wire. Either I had to drill a large hole behind my license plate to fit the camera wire, or I had to use some kind of extension, thinner wire to go through the hole that was already there.

HYNDAI ELANTRA reverse wire color I just spent the weekend hooking hooking up a new car stereo with the back up camera on my HYNDAI ELANTRA. The wire you need to splice into in order for the camera to turn on when you put the car in reverse is the on the DRIVER'S SIDE, and it is the BROWN WIRE.
I'll give you thumbs up if it is right. First need to see if I have brown wire there.
