Will my Sonata read text messages?

I'm confused about whether or not my limited with the tech package will read my text messages to me while driving. I have no idea how to set it up if it does. Hopefully someone here can help me out. I was told that this car can do this.

I have an iPhone and when my phone is connected I can long press the button on the top left of the steering wheel to activate Siri and then ask Siri to read new texts. The button is the one you push to use voice commands from the car. Press it briefly for the cars voice commands and press longer to activate Siri. I don't know if there is something comparable for Android.

So it sounds like this is what I need to do. I'll download the app.

I just activate the app and plug my phone in to the car via the USB and when I get a text message the car will alert me and read it back to me?

I'm downloading the android auto app and I installed the update via a usb memory stick that I downloaded from the Hyundai website. Here's hoping that it all works!

Presumably Apple's Car Play will have similar apps that will do what Android Auto can do? I hope incoming text messages don't just get automatically read back to me without my being asked first. Would be kind of embarrassing if there were other occupants in the car and a private text message were to be read out loud for everyone to hear. :)

I installed Android Auto yesterday and I have to say it's not very user friendly.

Google music-- Shouldn't it access all the music you have stored on your phone? Mine doesn't seem to access everything. How do I set it up so it does?

Text messages--This was the main reason why I installed the APP and update. It does read text messages but it doesn't always prompt you asking if you would like to respond and when it does it doesn't seem to work.

I'll play around with tit more this weekend when I have access to the car but FWIW I prefer the Blue link and Hyundai Nav and the normal features that the car is already equipped with. None of which work while in Android Auto by the way.
