Trunk suddenly not flush? WTF

I was walking up to my car and noticed for the very first time that my trunk was not flush with the back of the car. I can't tell if this is a problem or if that's the design of the car. I checked for any kind of indication as to why this would be happening, but I can't figure it out. Any ideas here guys?

Ive had the car for 12k miles, so I'm fairly sure it is a "new" issue, but I should have been clearer, sorry!

How would it bend, just curious? There has never been any sort of accident. We did have an ice storm here a few weeks back with some heavy sheet of ice on my trunk overnight...Could that seriously do something?

I would take it in to the dealer. 12,000 should cover you under warranty.

A sheet of ice shouldn't do that... If nothing's loose, I'm guessing that either it's been that way since you got it, or someone bumped you, possibly an SUV in a parking lot... Plastic bumpers sometimes don't leave a scuff, but can still cause significant amounts of damage, especially when they hit a 'sweet spot'...

Take it to the dealer.. Ask them what's going on and get them to fix it under warranty (assuming it hasn't been hit).

Thanks guys. There is zero evidence of any damage at all and even more odd is I rarely use the trunk and if I do it's for a few groceries. Really strange. It was not lIke this when I got it that's for sure. Will look tomorrow in Daylight. Was planning on having that darn left pull fixed anyways so good reason to call the dealer
