Thats great in theory but very unrealistic in application in every day life and somewhat ignorant. I agree with TF 100% and this is something we should keep our eyes on.. hopefully its just a very very rare defect.

Dude your totally missing the point. It has nothing to do with whos fault it is. Small steering changes esp at highway speeds is a severe safety issue and coule even lead to death. To compare this to hot coffee.. why would you even do that. I love my hyundais, but that is some whacked fanboyism.

Try this, walk from your bathroom to your kitchen then to your front door. What happened? Nothing? Good!
Now lets have a 10,000 people do this same thing and chances are very good that many stories of tripping, banging, dodging and so on would come to light. We have so many engineered devices in our lives today that there is guaranteed to be mis-haps and accidents. I don't believe that it is people taking these things lightly but more of an understanding that we can't foresee them all nor prevent the lot of them. I'm sure that a study can be produced to show that more tire blowouts have caused accidents than a fail steering mechanism but day after day we still take our chances.
In this case an indepth review of the car needs to be done to find if it is a localized issue or one from the manufacturing process, but I wouldn't say I'm not going to drive a Hyundai again because of it. my2c
Im sorry but I dont walk 40, 50 mph + around my house right next to people who do the same. No one is saying not drive your freakin cars, but the smug reaction of pretty much this is the users fault is fanboyism at its best. Im assuming this is a one and done but god forbin it wasnt and someone from one of your famillies was in that situation, I can only hope for their sake that they live upto all your expectations of "what to do".
