Downhill Brake Control warning with trailer

I have a 2013 Santa Fe and recently started using it to pull a small camper trailer. Most times when I hook up the trailer the DBC light illuminates yellow and stays on until I turn off the ignition. Trailer has electric brakes with a brake controller.
I don't care about DBC. I would never need or want to use DBC so don't care if it doesn't work but I wonder if there could be some other underlying issue? Brakes work fine with or without the trailer connected. Is there any reason to be concerned?

Follow up on this:
Turns out that the warning light comes on whenever I actuate the trailer brakes manually. Apparently a sudden deceleration without a signal from the brake pedal confuses the software.
Another thing I found is that this warning light comes on if the brake light fuse is blown. Now I have to figure out why the brake fuse blew.
