Hi ...

I have a 2008 Santafe AWD and have the ABS ECS and AWD lights on... Ran a Scan and got this Code : C1210 - Rear Right Tone Wheel/Speed Jump.
C1210 is for Rear right wheel Speed sensor.... Pic 1
However when I check speed signal using the Scan tool for all the wheels.... the front left wheel has no signal ! it doesn't even show up ....see pic 2

pretty confused ... is it rear right wheel or front left one... anyone with any info /ideas will be much appreciated.

PS - I did replace the rear right hub, and these lights came on immediately after this replacement...probably a link between the replacement and fault codes, I checked the ring... seems ok to me.

do you have to select the data you want to watch? you could always disconnect the front left sensor and see if that triggers the same fault or a fault, that would suggest it was working ok

C1210 wheel speed sensor rear-RH Range/performance/intermittent

Is the sensor fitted flush, was it clean, no ferrous debris collecting on it?

Thanks Gerard,
I can select the data, but the F/L sensor reading didn't show up at all...it didn't come up in the selections as well...
I am going to open the wheel and open the sensor and clean it... maybe that will do it... will update once i have done it... hopefully today!

I suspect that's your problem then. The tone wheel on the replacement hub probably has the wrong number of teeth, hence the range/performance trouble code. The sensor output will be out of range because the tone wheel is producing a different number of output pulses from the sensor.

BTW, I've notice in a youtube review o the CRP129 that it was showing ABS wheel speed output while the car is stationary for some reason, which isn't normal. The F/L wheel not showing up on your data list isn't normal either.

Thanks AUTOSPARK,
The tone ring is fixed on the drive shaft ,so it was not replaced.
The wheel speed output was showing when I was driving it around the block.
Agree that the F/L wheel was not showing seems abnormal.... tried a few times and different things in the scan, but it didnt show up !
