Hi everyone
im on a project were im changing the switches on the center console i.e (Rear window defroster, fog lights, acident light) to two pole toggle switches. However, when disassembling the old switches in the center console i stumbled upon a problem. There is a lot more wires than i expected and i dont know what they do or which one to connect again.

So my question is, can any body help me get some sort of wire diagram specifically for the switches on the center console.

thanks in advance

Sorry, I don't have a diagram to hand. And I don't think you can replace those switches with toggle switches anyway. The rear defroster works on an electronic timer. I'm pretty sure the switch for that circuit is a momentary action type that outputs a short pulse to the timer module when the button is pressed. I don't think you would want to use a latching toggle switch in that application. And you would need a three pole switch to replace the hazard light switch.

The extra wires on the switches will be for the switch illumination, and for the tell tail warning light.
