I was having a heck of time finding parts to do a valve job and head gasket replacement on my 2015 sonata 2.4 (non hybrid). I cams across this website (hyundaipartsdeals.com) and it has everything I need. Now I'm trying to figure out if it's a reputable website to buy from.

How can one not buy from RockAuto? Their primary issue these days though is the doubling of FedEx shipping cost. One has to aggregate items to ship from the same warehouse to keep shipping cost down.

PartsAvatar strikes me a pricier than competitors. Often I get things cheaper on eBay, which is not always that competitive. For Hyundai 6 cylinder engine cylinder head bolts, RockAuto sells the same Fel-Pro product as PartsAVatar, but $78 cheaper, though part of that saving may be lost to increased shipping costs. But one can often buy DNJ bolts cheaper, so it pays to know alternative brand products and shop around..

Thanks though for the PartsAvatar reference since i live in Canada too.

Hyundaipartsdeals.com and almost all other Hyundai parts sites are managed by dealers. The websites are from an outside company, and they don't have access to see the actual availability of parts from Hyundai. So it might say it's available on the site, because typically the dealer can have it in a day or 2, but if it's on backorder, they have no way of knowing.

Ive had very good luck with Del Rey Hyundai in Florida. Their website is hyundaioemparts.com
They are a Hyundai Dealer.

If your doing a head or valve job on our LF 2015-2019 Sonata with the Theta II (2.4 L or 2.0T) you will find that most of the parts including gaskets need to be from Hyundai, there are very few aftermarket parts available. I recently did my 2.0T Sport and could not even find a complete gasket kit, I had to order almost everything separately.

That why it just easier to visit with the part counter person at local dealer. I get called quite often to look at catalog, and help locate what customer os describing, as part person not a tech that know what goes where or what is actually what with catalog stick figure drawing.

What was it you actually looking for / needed ?
