Seriously, I worked for a Hyundai dealership for exactly 3 months and knew more about the cars than any of the vets, and that's what it stands for.

 

Its just the 2 letter designation Hyundai gives to cars. For instance there's the EF model (2000-2005) and the NF (2006+). For elantra's there's the XD ('01-'03), XD2 (04-06), and the HD (07+).

That's about all I know off the top of my head!

you forgot the Granduer XG (as in the older xg300, xg350) and the azera (which is the code name Granduer TG)

Its a generation code Number. Most cars have a code name assigned to them. The NF Stands for "Neverending fame and Faith"
