I have used Castrol GTX for over 20 years in every car I have owned.
However ,when I took my new car in for it's first oil change I was informed that Hyundai had made a deal with Quaker State.
I have never had much love for Quaker State , but seems that they agree to extend the engine warranty (all moving internal parts) to 250,000 miles as long as you use their oil and change it within their recommended 4,000 mile limit.
Since I purchased the 2 year ,24,000 miles service plan ,I have continued to use this oil.
But when I reach the 27,000 mark I have thought about changind to a full synthetic.
I know everyone has their own opinion ,but I would like to know what everyone recommends on oil and filter.
Here the temps rarely see 10 degrees F in winter ,and often see 90-100 in summer.
Thanks in advance,
