I was in rush hour this afternoon and when I stopped at a light a bird landed on my roof. It hopped around then started messing with the shark fin. When I started moving it flew off. I also got a good deal on a part from a guy on craigslist and found a route to work with less traffic than my usual way.

Thanks to the Welcome, N5S-Matter. Dealer doesn't do collision repair but sending me to place the service manager gets his wifes car fixed. I figure he would only use the best in town, especially with his wifes car. Good insurance, I can go to shop that I want, not to a lowest bidder. Will get a pic afterwards of car for my Garage here, She wouldn't let me get one now with her bangs and scratches showing. Just once I wish I had a male vehicle that would look at this as medals of valor instead of damage. But she does have some sexy curves so I had better watch what I wish for.

Got my door striker covers today. Should take all of two minutes to install...unless I take my time and savor the moment. Also took a direct hit on the hood by a rock. Lucky the sport bra save me, no dent or scratch, just a mark on the bra.

Yesterday I went to my favorite sandwich shop for lunch and decided to eat outside as the tables were in the shade and it was an absolutely perfect day. As I ate, some lady came outside and while waiting for her husband, decided that Emma's right front fender would make an ideal park bench and proceeded to lean against it. I politely asked, "Ma'am please don't lean on my car." She stops, looks at the car, looks at me and does nothing. I put the sandwich down and reiterated more firmly and aggressively, "Don't lean on my car."

She moved and never said one word to me. Moments later her fat slob of a husband came out, they got into their beat-up early 90s Honda Accord and left. I tell ya....some people.

What a fantastic comment. I need to party with you, Zak!

I did something similar several years ago while standing inside a retail store yet periodically checking on the car through the plate glass front window. As luck would have it, two old ladies had parked near me and I just happened to see them returning to leave.

I watched as they approached the car. I hit the lock button on the fob twice to chirp the horn. As the lady on the passenger side approached the door handle of their car, well, "chirp-chirp" went the horn. She was startled a bit, turned, looked at the car, sort of gazing into the tinted windows, and wham-o, I hit it again. She abruptly turned 180 degrees and commenced to open her door in a flash. "Chirp-chirp," again to speed her entry. She darted into that passenger side in seconds, the car backed out and sped away like it had seen a ghost. No door dings. The car's honor had been defended.

Best time I've had at someone else's expense in a while. I need to do that again, sometime. Great fun!

Installed 6000k HIDs today (still on beta, making sure anything won't burn down lol). Relay kit was needed but I retained both DRL and lowbeam functions.

Been wanting to post this up, but kept forgetting. If anyone is looking to buy some clay bar kits, Target has Meguiar's clay kits for ~$15 rightnow compared to the usual $18-$20. Small discount but it's something. IIRC, Target is actually having a sale on all Meguiar brand items; but I believe that the sale ends 7/12 (TONIGHT)

The dealer typically does rhsr each visit. If you do a lot yourself. You should definitely get that done.

By the way, rich, I had a dream last night about routing my led reflectors wires through the trunk.

Do you think I have a problem??? Lol

H11 to H9 conversion, steering wheel cover to prevent peeling that hasn't started yet (OCD), accelerator pedal adjustment, 3rd wax job since I've owned it.

I know.... Wasn't too happy to do it either. But the bike rack was a good place to strap the "headboard" of the top to. Needless to say I don't plan on doing it again any time soon.

Well got the driver and passenger side LED ambient lighting in. May have ripped one of the rear seat LEDs..oops! Oh well, stuff happens right. Good news is now is I'm going to have some extra blue LED lights when my new order comes in to play around with and get creative with. Anyway, so far very happy with the outcome. Have all the wires set up in the back ready for when the new ones come in.

^^^ Looks fantastic. Now, do me a favor. Clean the debris off those mats/carpets so I can get some sleep tonight. Otherwise, I'll be having nightmares. :wink2:

Thanks Okie. Yeah good eye! Took a quick picture without fully cleaning up lol

Question though, would something like this alter my warranty in anyway? I would assume no unless something electrical started acting up. In which case the way I set this up, it's extremely easy to unhook everything.

I just was thinking for when I go in for my oil changes(I get free oil changes from the dealer), if they would get all suspicious or not.

Only if the LED's could be blamed for screwing up something else. And only the "screwed up" part. NOT the entire vehicle. Don't worry yourself too much over it. You should be fine. I've had mine in there for quite some time. About a year? No problems, Working flawlessly.

BTW, here's your homework assignment: How about posting a detailed "How To" for some of the new guys thinking about this...maybe with some pics to back up the install steps? Good reference material.

Where the dealer is concerned? Not sure about yours, but when I roll in for my oil changes, the guys start coming over like a pack of hungry wolves to see what mods I've done lately (plus eat the donuts I brought them). They even gave me a set of new floor mats with the dealer logo stitched in blue/white lettering. They look great under those blue lamps.

They oohed and awed over my rear reflectors, KYB shocks, and the AVS hood deflector. But the morning I came in with those blue LED's in the foot wells? They went goofy over those. Ol' girl was looking "all kinds of sexy" that day!

@Stang2008-

Led's look great! I just installed mine yesterday. I have two sets of led's hooked up. A soon as the dome light led's at the footwell turn off... The blue ambient led's kick in.. As soon as the car is turned off, the dome light led's kick on!!

Okay, smart guy, here's YOUR homework assignment. How'd you do that? Nice mod variation! I'm sure there are some other members that might want to copy your idea for their rides.
