What Coolant for 2023 Elantra Hybrid?

Hello hyundai pals,

I bought my 2023 Elantra Limited Hybrid and for whatever reason the inverter coolant is below the fill line after putting my first 900 miles on it. Yippie :'/

So I see in the owner's manual the coolant is a mixture of antifreeze and water (Phosphate-based Ethylene glycol coolant for aluminum radiator). Does that make it a p-hoat?

I am crayola. I would rather color match. The stuff in my tanks is pink. I want to buy OEM. I wana stay under warranty and color match and be careful because I like my car so far. That's just me. Anyone know the parts number or what I need to look for?

I found this but just because it's pink doesn't mean it's right obviously... Hyundai 00232-19098 Pink, ANTIFREEZE/COOLANT

Thanks in advance friends!

Hey kindofdaberry.... I went around and around on this regarding the 2024 Elantra I just purchased. As you noted, the owners' manual does list phosphate-based ethylene glycol. Different manufactures use different color dye that is not always tied to the formulation, so never go off of the color. For instance, what you have is pink, but if you simply buy pink coolant off of a retailer shelf, it may not be phosphate based and you will have an issue. Some Hyundai parts employees may get the incorrect information and say you need their green colored coolant, but that is incorrect. If you go with Hyundai's pink coolant, you will be good. It is P-HOAT. The Hyundai P/N is 00232-19098

Wouldn't risk mixing different coolants or even concentrations for such important system, would rather get correct concentrate from Hyundai, if needed mix with distilled water, peace of mind.

Speaking of loosing coolant from newt, several owners report this for engine coolant. I cannot imagine why this happens, unless some seals are slowly leaking internally. Knowing there are also engine cover seals that leak from new, perhaps them koreans workers don't wash greasy hands after chicken lunch

This may not even be a relevant comment, but...

Last year the dealer performed a service campaign on our '22 Santa Fe Hybrid that was tied to the inverter cooling system. One result of this campaign is that the inverter coolant was changed from a green coolant to a pink coolant. The campaign I link below is associated to the Santa Fe / Tuscon HEV/PHEV models, however, perhaps there was a similar campaign for the Elantra hybrids that also resulted in a change in coolant color?

Hyundai car with pink in it, grab a bottle of 00232-19098 and mix accordingly and top off the bottle

I am always topping off bottles with during oil change, lube kids dont seem to do it, I get them with some miles on them to which they had plenty of time to burb, I top them off

2023, I'd just pull into service aisle and ask service fella to top off since the PDI people fail to do it during inspection / verify full at delivery, and oil change people fail top top off after driving and burp
