I don't know about non-US spec cars, but no video on OEM units here.

I would imagine that the owners manual that came with the car would have the information you're looking for.

my sonata is a US spec one and it has a navigation screen and DVD player in it. Ok i will look in to that thanks.

Unless you have some form of aftermarket unit, it won't recognize the DVD format nor will it play any form of video.

 

oh sorry it is NOT a US spec car, i got confused there, i put a DVD into it and YES it plays the movie fine, but i need to know the format of the files that can be played on a music video in the DVD player because MP4 videos don't work on it, AVI might, i will try that out soon, neither does WMV work on it. Need to know that one format so i don't keep makin mistakes on every new CD i make of music videos.

the DVD video spec is based on mpeg-2, many can also play divx / xvid files because the compression is similar.
