2008 Sonata GLS
2.4L with supercharger*
4-speed auto
It seems simple enough. I need to know the torque spec for the auto transmission drain plug. No, it's not silly. I've been warned by a Hyundai tech that overtightening can make the gasket do an impression of an egg. Undertightening has its own rather obvious drawbacks.
I know what you're thinking. I've checked hmaservice.com / hyundaitechinfo.com. I have the hardest time finding information on that site. I think I found the torque spec, but what bothers me is that my Chilton manual lists a spec that's quite a bit different. Yeah, duh, trust the manufacturer you say, but again, I am an idiot and don't trust that I was looking at the right info to begin with.
