Not worth the effort at all. You would have to re-wire the entire system, fit sensors and all sorts of extra stuff and even then, there are no guarantees it would work as intended. Personally, I find automatic climate control to be a bit annoying...I love my manual dials; three big rotary knobs and two buttons, one of which I never push. Simple and fun, I love it.

I'm with you on that. The manual system is a paradigm of design efficiency, and it does exactly what you ask. The automatic system is a bit of a mess to operate, and from what I see it is responsible for 90% of all heating/cooling complaints.

I have a 09 limited with auto climate controls. I purchased the Limited to get it. I need to be on the cool side & the wife is always cold. (and no, that not my fault).
She is always cold so this works well for us.
However, I can't see changing the control system. Best getting a different vehicle.

The Santa Fe dual climate control system works very well for my wife and me also.

I have had several vehicles with dual climate over the years, including my current VW, CC and without a doubt, our Santa Fe has the best system yet. It is totally right on, whichever temp differences my wife and I desire. I wish my VW was this accurate.

However, if I didn't already have it, I don't think I would go through the time and expense trying to install it. Like has already been said, there is no guarantee that it would work as expected, plus the damage to the vehicle in tearing into a lot of areas would make it even less beneficial.
