Both the wheels and grill look good. Can the chrome rings on the wheels not be removed and left off? Another option would be to paint them black to sort of disappear. For the grill, what about covering the bottom 2 vanes to tach the top 2?

 

Ya LeMeez, you read my mind about the chrome inserts, good idea for the grill too. Im going to get mt spoiler vinyl wrapped black I was thinking about asking them to do the chrome inserts matte gray, to match the wheels.

As for the grill that's a nice idea also, thought about that when I was doing the grill initially, but was just thinking the license plate may cover too much.

Thanks for those close ups, obviously there are two holes for each insert that makes it impossible to just leave them off. I wouldn't paint hem the same odour as the wheels, flat black or plastidip would be best IMHO.

Looking at these pics, I see something that my car has that most if any of these don't....pinstriping.

My car (black) came with little pinstriping tape on it. I think it adds a lot. Not sure if I can't tell in these pictures if other cars have it or what.

Looks great. Michigan doesn't let you tint the front windows, sadly. I might have to drive down to Indiana to get a tint so the car doesn't look stupid.

 

Just purchased this Titanium Grey Metallic GT Base model. Love the features and didn't really need anything else. Manual transmission, too! Lucky to find it!

 

The black with tint looks very nice.

Agh! What a drag! I've lived that myself (although whatever hit me, I didn't know what it was, and I paid out of pocket). Anyhow, what a bummer!

 

GL Steelies are 16's, tires were 205/55/16's.

 

Perfect fit, too bad I just got laid off... I'd be after them otherwise.

 

Only the Elantra L (base sedan) has 15".

Okay so while I've been online car shopping I was set on the sedan for a while, and I didn't think I'd like the GT, since I'm generally not a fan of hatchbacks, but I finally watched a few reviews and did research on the GT model and I'm in love. I've changed teams from Team Sedan to Team GT. I have yet to see one on the road (and I admit that's a small part why I like it better than the sedan) but I think I'm all about this GT model now. I just can't seem to make up my mind but seeing your guys' GTs really convinced me.

 

I have only seen a handfull, maybe 4 or so GT's in the tri-state area so far, and we do alot of driving. If you are still on the fence, I say get the GT, it really is an amazing car for the money, and it looks very nice.

 

I just became a new member because of this thread. I recently bought a Black GT and didn't really know where to go for advice. I would love to upgrade to the LED tails, but was also wondering what other options are interchangeable? Would it be possible for me to swap out my base radio for the nav system.

 

Read through this forum as well as the Elantra forum and you will find everything you are asking. There is a thread about an aftermarket Nav system and a few threads on LED tail lights.
