Hello all,
Just curious if anybody else had issues with their rear shocks/struts? I have an '11 Limited FWD with 26k miles. I purchased it as a certified used off a lease, and when I did there were no noises produced on bumpy roads.
Over the last ~5k, a sound has developed. I was able to narrow it down to the left rear initially, and thought it might be an electrical connector that was loose between the body and interior cargo panel. The sound was such that I thought it was plastic on plastic.
During a closer inspection with the help of my dad, I found the left rear shock/strut as the source. With my fingertips on it, and the rear suspension being actuated up and down, it was making a tapping sensation and the noise could be heard at the same time.
I will be scheduling an appointment, hopefully to get both rears replaced. I find it odd that a part I've never had to replace on any of my other vehicles has already started to give up after only 26k.
