With out too many self righteous or condescending responces (such as wear your seatbelt)

Can anyone tell me how to disable the seat belt warning chime - I can not find the procdure in the owners manual anywhere.

I am not sure where it would be located in the Elantra, but I do recall in the Accent, it was located to the left of the glove box (towards the centre stack). In order to get to it, you had to unclip the glove box (it would allow the glove box to drop down much further, exposing behind the glove box and underneath the dashboard). There was then a clip that you would unplug and the chime would be disabled.

I never tried it myself, but I would guess that it would be a similar location for the Elantra.

Under the seat of my 2007 accent there was one connector, and all you had to do is unplug it to make the car act as if the seatbelt was on all the time.

I just looked for the same thing under a elantra 2011's driver seat and there was a lot more than just one connector. So I'm bumping this thread to top.

Anyone know which one to unplug or other way to disable seatbelt nagging chime?

Hyundai Elantra 2007 Seat Belt Chime

Hello All, I have Hyundai Elantra 2007 and I have some weird problem going on with seat belt chime. when I put my seat belt on, I can still hear chime noise and when I drive my car for like 50/60 mph speed constantly for 7 to 8 minutes, seat belt chime goes off but when I stop my car (on traffic signal) / reduced car speed under 10mph it starts again!
Please let me know if someone has solution for this problem.

Odd? This is the forum for 2011-16 Elantras. If you post in the 2006-10 forum, you will have an easier time, getting an answer.
I hope you figure it out.
