The Hyundai badge on my 2009 accent (the one that actually says the word Hyundai, not the H logo) is missing the "i". It's just broken off or whatever, it came that way when I bought it last summer. Its not an urgent replacement or anything, but I was curious as to where I could get another one, and how difficult they are to replace? If its rather inexpensive, I'd like to do it before the winter maybe.

Best bet would to buy them at the dealer unless they are on eBay.
Also they are just glued on. So you'd probably have to take the old one off and clean the surface really good. Then probably stick the new one on

DO NOT buy the "Hyundai" lettering from the dealership, unless of course, you're willing to pay $75+ for it.

I would recommend searching websites such as Ebay, sharkracing, etc. and see if they have the emblems (it will be far cheaper). Also, they are affixed to the car using double sided tape, which can easily be removed by using fishing line. The replacements should come with double sided tape already on for easy application.

+1. The alternative is to remove it entirely with fishing line for a nice clean look :)

I don't know, I kind of like the way the chrome emblems look. So yeah I'll search around Ebay, see if I can find something I like. Maybe I'll remove them when I put new wheels on the car in the spring haha

Hi, just found this using the search bar =/ My T on my "SONATA" came off, what do you use to put the emblem back on? Superglue didn't work, still came off easily after 1 day.

Sorry if there's a newer thread out there, and havin to ressurect an old one. Blame the search bar! Thanks for the help.

Pretty sure sylicone epoxy or jb weld should do the trick. Id go with jb weld. Just take your time with it. That stuff is almost perminent after you apply it. Lol

Also. All three if those take 24 hours to completely dry. You can use magnets and/or tape to hold the badge in place until it dries. And keep the car in a place where the wind or anything outside wont knock it out of place.

Wat??? JB weld to attach part of an emblem to your car??? No.

Get this at Walmart. You can find it near the household improvement products. Clean your surfaces really well and stick the tape on the back of the emblem/letter, trim the excess off with a razor blade, peel off the other backing and stick it onto the car. Make sure you stick it on straight in the right location because it will stick on there pretty good.

+1 for the grey 3m tape.

My bodyside moulding on a rear door came close to falling off (result of apparently being broken from bodywork from 2 years prior.) Got some of this stuff to hold it down since there was no clip left to hold it down... Works like a champ.

I got mine at O'reilly auto, supposedly for automotive use but it looks quite similar to the household stuff.
