So, my '15 Sonata is going to need a new rear view mirror, because it is just worn out from switching it from day to night position, and the mirror itself is actually starting to crack, and I can actually see through the mirror by the lever arm. This mirror is actually very flimsy. With that being said, this is an SE model, but was wondering when replacing it, if I could upgrade it with the mirror from the Limited model, which darkens automatically, and has some wiring attached to it, and is the wiring possibly hidden behind the upper console in my model, since it is the lower level model? Just thinking "if" they do install all of the same wiring looms at the factory, or just install what the model requires. If not, I will just buy a standard replacement. Never had a mirror ever do this in all my 50 years of driving.

I replaced mine with an auto dimming mirror, with compass, and it was indeed plug and play. I might like the compass better than the dimming, lol.
Yes, it's up there somewhere, under a cover, I guess, I dont remember the details. I have a Sport but I don't think our cars are any different in this regard; my guess is all Sonatas came off the line with that wiring in place, whether it was used or not.
