You said the defrost wiring works, what switch operates the defrost feature?

 

If it's anything like the other hyundai systems, it will be powered by the rear defrost switch.

 

Makes sense, I've never owned a car with heated mirrors. These mirrors look like a nice upgrade but I'm holding out for the power folding ones. I park on narrow busy street and the power folding option would be perfect.

 

If these weren't $250 I'd totally get these.

 

Nicemotors sells just the cover and light on ebay for $70, but as a few members have found out its not a complete kit, thats why I went with these. Probably a whole lot cheaper than getting straight from the dealer.

Yes it took about a month or less to get these. Around 3-4 week.

 

$250 is a lot, and I'll be happy to wait until someone confirms that these will work easily on US model Accents.

$250 seems like a lot.... a friend of mine just had to replace one of his signal mirror on his F-150 and just one mirror alone was $350 + install. So for me $250 is a good price as long as they are plug and play. :thumbsup:

 

$125 a piece doesn't sound too bad, I'll have to order a set before the summer is over. It gets pretty dark driving in the mountains of Pennsylvania at night and I don't want to get my car side swiped in the winter when I'm switching lanes!

 

You call these mountains?! LOL. I call these so called mountains "speed bumps"! I grew up in SoCal, we have MOUNTAINS. I guess it all depends on your point of view.

 

Can you take a picture of your plug? I looked at mine a while back and only recall 4 wires running into the socket, which I would assume would be the positive and negative for the left/right and up/down motors

The orange, yellow, and blue wires are for the mirror motor. The green one the end is the signal. And there are red and black wires on the underside, red is defroster, black is ground.

alright, lol. last time I took a look there I didn't see the red and black ones hiding under the top four.

 

Are those of us with colors like Marathon Blue and Electrolyte Green out of luck? I don't see those colors available in the Ebay auction.

 

Yeah just noticed that myself.

 

I believe Blue Ocean is Marathon Blue. And in Green Apple is Electrolyte Green. They gave the colors different names in other markets.

 

How to add defrost mirror ?

 

Ok, so I finally got an email back from the seller and these mirrors (according to him) are not setup with heated mirrors. But in the pictures (if I am looking at them right) they might actually be setup for the "folding" mirror function. Sadly, if this is the case the N. American models are not prewired for this, so I may wire them myself. Wouldn't that be cool! The first N. American GLS with electric folding mirrors! And turn signals to boot!

 

I'll honestly just be happy with the turns, lol. The folding mirror part is neat but doesn't really do anything for me personally as I've never encountered a situation where I needed it

 

Neither have I, I think I am just going to just install them "as is" then maybe play with them down the road.
