Lube window motor/regulator??

So lately I’ve noticed my drivers side/front window is noisy..it moves up and down 100% fine..it just literally sounds like the “gear” is dry of lube (like two dry metal gears running against each other.
Is there an easy way to “lube” things?
I watched a YouTube video on how to replace the regulator; and it LOOKED like there was no way to lube anything (all on the inside of the inner door panel piece) and instead of a track..it looked like it’s a metal cable that moves the window!?
Any help is appreciated!

As you say, it's a cable that moves the window, so there are no metal gears.
Maybe record a short video on your phone and upload it to youtube, then post a link to the video here so we can hear the sound your talking about. That might give us a clue about what is causing it and how to deal with it.

If I helped you fix it, why not...

Your support is greatly appreciated

I’ll get it in the morning..it’s definitely a metal-on-metal kind of sound...but like I said; the window moves perfectly fine and it’s tinted and the tint is fine too so there’s nothing actually scratching on the glass.

My door regulator started clunking on my Gen Coupe. Hard bottoming I called it. It was the rubber stop cushions inside that had dissolved due to the the grease they used. They used a white grease on the tracks from the factory.

There is a bit of grease on the motor gear. That can be checked without taking the regulator out. Just remove the panel and you can take the motor out.

But others have had the cable fray or the pulley wheels break. Relatively easy to change FWIW.

The craziest thing..this morning I come out to the car..roll window up and down..no noises!
Lol maybe I’m going crazy?
I’ll keep an eye on it; I may just pop the door panel off and the motor and add some white grease.
