Wheels are pretty nice. Those red accent pieces are way too rice for me though. When I think of Night Edition though I kinda expect all the trim to be darker. Darker headlamps and dark chrome or black trim around the windows. I know the murdered look isn't for everyone, but if I had a black car it would be blacker than black lol. Hopefully it's not too pricey of a package considering most of this stuff can be done with some vinyl and paint.

 

I honestly don’t think the red is that “rice” because that’s pretty much the extent of it, just those front accent pieces.

I think the pricing will basically be the same as the standard N-Line, maybe an extra $1k or so, if I had to guess.

 

The only thing I like about the night edition is the fact that they decided to go with the projector style led headlights. Other than that, the normal n-line is better imo.

 

This is a Korean N Line. My guess is when the Nights start popping up in the US they will not have the projector style lights. The US models lose all sorts of features everyone else gets on the N Line.

 

I posted the video that had this in it a week or 2 ago (whenever they launched the Elantra N) and was wondering if thats what it was. Was just confused by "the black" naming on it. Looks cool. Too bad we prob wont get the projector headlights

The suggested retail price of the 2022 Sonata N-Line Night Edition is US$35,755, including a destination fee of US$1,005.

 

As others have said, that is not what the US will get, spec-wise. We won't get the same lights and I doubt the red markings will be on the production version.

I just did a search nationwide, no 2022 Night Editions out yet. I did see a lot of 2022 N Lines though. The lowest priced one is close by but is out of state for me. At the same dealer I bought my '16 Sonata PHEV Limited from. New 2022 Hyundai Sonata N Line For Sale $33,186 | Cars.com Not too bad. Advertised price includes doc fee and uses the $500 cash off for going with the Hyundai std finance rate. Just go with it and then refinance before you even pay your first payment.

 

I know we don’t get the exact spec in the photo, we never do. That is the KDM version and we’ve always gotten a neutered version compared to the rest of the world. We do however get some of the things on the exterior as I called out in my original post. Either way, I think it looks good!

 

Thanks for posting this. I am seriously considering 2022 N-line Sonata and like the Night Package you posted as I already decided to continue with Black as it reduces the catfish grill appearance dramatically. I really hope somehow the LED Lights make it to the USA.

If you dont need the room of the Sonata Id wait for the Elantra N. The new body style of the Elantra looks very much like a smaller version Sonata to me. It is supposed to be a full "N" not N Line and will have a lot more performance (286 hp in a smaller lighter car) it features LDS and different suspension like the Veloster N.

With an estimated price of $ 30,000

For the majority of us, we don't see this edition being anything all that great. I certainly think some will like it and I won't bash anyone for getting it - it will be just as great as the regular N Line is. Many of us just don't think the wheels look that great and that they should have darkened all of the chrome.

Just seems steep to charge $1,300 more for:

Matte black 19-inch unique alloy wheels w/ CFRP center caps (these appear to just be the SEL Plus wheels, painted - why the price increase?)

Now, if they had charged this and used the light weight black N wheels and upgraded N performance front brakes for that price, or even a bit more, then this would probably made current owners happy. For $1,300, most of us hoped the Night Edition would have some performance or additional visual enhancements, this is just a fail.

For me, I would like the rear lip spoiler and the center caps, hope that they will be available soon, haven't seen them in any online Hyundai parts site just yet. Will probably just settle for the center caps, I like the red circle, but guessing the spoiler will be more pricey than I care to spend for something truly cosmetic.

Not interested! If I had my choice between the Night Edition and my current 2021 N-Line for the same price I would take my current model in a heartbeat and would never look back. Any modifications to the current model should be performance related.

First 2 pictures are of the Night Edition, second 2 pictures regular N Line. Spoiler seems to be more prominent, sticks up higher than the lights and deck lid.

 

It doesn't protrude any further than stock. Same lip wing, just in CRFP.

 

Sure looks like it does extend farther in those pics above, in fact it certainly does if those pics are indeed a new night line at a dealer.

 

I know I shared this a while back, but there are a ton of new people since.. I wish that this "Night Edition" would have been an actual upgrade (obviously). If you look at the very bottom of this link- you can see that for Korea they have actual performance upgrades. The N Performance brakes would have been awesome. The black rims are at least better looking (an more unique) than the black SEL rims. Crazy to look and see how much stuff you can get on the Korean models. Jealous!

Same as OE. No slopes. No protrusions. Same wing. Different material. The N-Line lip isn't special at all, they also use it on the Sonata Hybrid. I know from experience due to having the wrong trunk on my car and dealing with Hyundai to get it right. Look at your own from the top, back and side. Different angles will yield different results.

I disagree. The shape is absolutely different.

Pic below of mine, you can clearly see the end of my OE N Line spoiler that butts up to the tail light is flush with the tail light and is not curved on the outer corner edge like the Night Edition one in the pic you posted, my OE N Line deck spoiler is square and flat with 90 degree corners.

I thought the spoiler was real carbon fiber but it looks like it’s hydrodipped, now that’s lame.

Weird that they used a slightly different shaped spoiler, don’t understand that. The regular N Line one fits better and looks less like an add on IMO. Whenever I saw pics I assumed it was the same one too.

 

From pics and videos, they all look thr same.

I'll keep with my same opinion. When I see it in person and see a difference, then I'll comment.

 

Yep, finally got that all squared away. Had to send it back to paint because they painted the lip phantom black instead of gloss black. Took about 4 months to get everything resolved.

 

Just sent to me from my friend that's in sales at I.E. Hyundai in Loma Linda Ca. Fresh off the truck. Just as I've been saying. Same wing only in carbon.
