Welcome and nice color, I knew I'd be driving my car in Hawaii!!! LOL We have the same color as well. Love the silver. I assume you have the grey/black interior with that? Enjoy your new Christmas present. Our was given to us on Dec 28th.

 

I switched out the light in my trunk too! I placed 4 LED strip lights under the rear deck in the trunk! Nice and bright back there now! It was an easy modification since the trunk light module snapped right out and the wiring for the LED lights with male connectors was inserted right into the electrical connector. I thought of installing footwell lights that operated with the interior lights but I will defer that for now. Did that on my Acura but the carpet color on the Elantra may not relect as well as the Acura's.

2 white strips and 2 blue strips! All white was too bland and all blue was too dark!

Yeah, it's fun driving this car in Hawaii as I'm yet to see another one, but I bet soon to see a lot. I got my hands on the first one "Windward Hyundai (dealer)" sold. Yeah, I really love the color. Hyundai used a nice shade of silver and I do have the grey/black interior as well. It was love at first sight!

Really like your idea on the lights. It's now my next project as I do have a bunch of leds laying around.

BTW, I need to figure out how to multi-quote. Maybe a little help as I couldn't figure it out.

I may go with brighter LEDs for the map and dome lights and forgo the footwell lights for now. I haven't used the multiquote function yet.

Did some searching and so far unable to locate any 25mm leds. Hopefully they are available somewhere but 'til then will possibly consider modifying them to fit the 30mm which are easy to get.
