Hello,

I have a 07 getz with the VDO dayton Stock CD/ Radio fitted to it. - I've attached a photo [attachment=26004:1.jpg] [attachment=26005:2.jpg]

Anyway i have brought the VDO dayton Ipod Interface ip 2205/00. This a stock genuine part that came on the SIII Coupe, which has the same VDO dayton radio as the getz and many other hyundai's [attachment=26006:Screen_s...20.42.32.jpg]

I have attached this to the CD Changer port of the stock radio, and power seems to get to it as my iphone says can not charge this device. But anyway it says ipod accessory connected when i go to the ipod music part of the phone.

The problem is i cant seem to change the source over to the ipod interface. All i can access is FM radio, and the slot CD.

Any suggestions will be grateful, I am going to try and get my hands on a old ipod nano or classic to see if i have any joy with that.

check with your nearest hyundai dealership, mine had the same issue, i took it to them and they had to enable the feature, dont know how they did it, although they did keep my car for 2 hours while i waited. it is possible :) if not, if its not under warranty, take the part back if you still can and install an iphone deck, so much quicker to instal, and i can let you know how to install it if you like, ive done it about 3 diff times on my getz, i like to change my headunits :p

I'm trying to track one of these down. Where did you buy it and what did it cost?

Thanks.
I got it working in the end. It was a problem with my phone works brilliantly with my iPhone 4s.

I make the playlists on the mac, and then use the disc changer to change playlist and track skip to change tracks.

I brought mine of ebay, changers the phone too now i brought an adapter.
very happy

Instructions

I have an SIII coupe with this IPOD connection but can't figure out the controls. I never got the the audio manual when I bought the car. Infuriatingly web research has been unable to come up with the goods. The IPOD (classic) does play some music but only a limited number of tracks. Can anybody point me in the direction of some proper instructions?

You need to make playlists on your iTunes, then sync it to your iPod.

You can have 99 tracks per playlist.

Then to change playlist you use the 4 and 6 buttons (disc changer up/ down)

Changing tracks is the normal up and down arrows

I have several playlists on my iPhone, and seems to work brilliant for me :)

Hope this helps
