Anybody get this figured out? It looks like I'll be needing one, as my shop manual calls for this tool to bleed my ABS module. Are the eBay units usable as delivered?

 

I'm running Windows 10, but could probably find an old laptop running older software if absolutely necessary.

 

GDS Alternative

Has anyone looked at other GDS alternatives? Are there any other scanners (Launch, Autel) that work for most systems on Hyundai but don't cost as much.


Especially if you are just trying to read and clear transmission abs ecu airbag codes.

 

Autel AL-619 perhaps. About $150 on Amazon.

 

Hi, i've been searching for a tool to use with my 2005 Elantra, and this Autel AL619 seems promising. I see it can read the Hyundai specific diagnostics but can anyone confirm if it will allow me to bleed my ABS module?

AFAIK, the AL619 doesn't support bi-directional control, so it wont be able to bleed the ABS module. There is an advanced version available (AL619A) that does support bi-directional control, but it's significantly more expensive than the more basic tool.

i have a solus pro, card inside up to 2015 models, going to try it out and see what functions are available particularly ABS and engine TESTS/SETUP.
Steering, TPMS, would also be important. Will let everyone know how it goes on my 2019 KONA.

These units are good value if you get them with the right card and keys, better than the OEM TOYOTA tool i have for the PRIUS,
plus recording parameters are awesome eg 500-700 USD, they do all cars even euro
