Ok I'm ready to change my trans fluid. I found out from the dealer that they didn't do any fluid change on this vehicle It was traded in at 56400k which I thought they would have and I would be closer to maintenance. now at 100500. But that's not the case.

Is it still ok to change this fluid at 100500 and not knowing when the previous owner did it or if he did.

Color of fluid? black, dont go back.

SPIII recommended.
Do you mean DONT change it??? Im just very nervous about it at this milage.
What Im planning to do it drain it and refill...then ina mo or so do it again. then after Christmas I was going to flush it. if no issues. I smelled it nd it didn't seem burnt, or black very dark red
if im not mistaken.. on the flush rubber hose is connected to supply line of the cooler line and run the car and fill as it flushes>>?
SP111 = 11.95qt whats the difference in a different brand. does it last shorter then the SP111

No changeable filter. It has an internal course one that is only changed at the depot level. I think you should be able to change your transmission oil at your mileage. On my 03 2.7, the first change(non-severe service) is at 105,000 miles. I've done mine much more frequently, but that is just me.

I think a couple drain and fills would be just fine. By depot level- I mean when Hyundai says you have a bad transmission and they send it into their reconditioning shop. No changeable filter that you can get to. No need to pull the pan. Just drain it by the plug. I've gone to a yearly pan dump for the last 6 years. Costs around $30 to do it.
