From section 4 page 75 of the manual it sounds like you service reminder.
"This mode informs of service interval (mileage or days) and warning messages related to TPMS, washer fluid, or active hood lift system."

Welcome! I downloaded the manual onto my iPad, the size of the paper version was so big.

Saying that, the orange exclamation point in a triangle is a service reminder. Look on page 4|75 of the handbook.

 

Thanks for that info about the service reminder, I had a feeling it was possibly something of that nature, I've had the car a little under three months now..

So how do you get rid of the alert? I sure hope you do not have to take it to the dealer..

Has it stayed on even after turning it off? I think I would take it in. It's a pain, I know, but better safe than sorry.

 

Yep.. it stay on every time I start the car, I checked the tire pressure and the tires all all fine.. I'll check the washer fluid next, thanks again !

You betcha!

 

You actually control the service reminder feature. You set the interval as to when it comes on.

If you like to change your oil every 3500 miles, or rotate your tires every 7500 miles, or whatever service you like to have performed, you can set it to remind you when it is time. You can set the reminder by date or by mileage.

LOL!!! I'd say it only takes a minute or two to pop the hood ( OK, bonnet for the Brits reading this) check under there things like the oil level, coolant, brake fluid level, etc. OH, AND the windshield washer fluid level.
Sorry I had to add that!!! Really, how many of us, besides me and few others, check things like that on a regular basis ?? Don't forget the tire pressures each month!!! Maybe we depend on the "Big Brother Computer" to watch everything and tell us when something is amiss. Wait!! It DID, we just didn't know what the heck it was telling us!!!

well said man.
sensors go bad. modules stop reading error/trouble codes. reception gets lost. things happen.
not paying attention to your car, simply relying(hoping) that a light/bell/display will light up telling you the error - is asking for trouble. its imperative to learn not only the trouble lights on your car, but to keep a watchful eye on everything from lug-nuts, to fluids, to tire pressures, to noise/smells, and performance issues. you dont have to know the origin of the trouble - just recognize that something is out of place.

I have a Hyundai 2013 Santa Fe limited with a warning symbol on the LED screen showing an exclamation mark in triangle (orange or yellow) that I cannot find any info on in the owners manual.. please help.. thanks.

The exclamation mark is likely indicating that your SFS is due for an oil change.

When I bought my SFS, the salesman set the service reminder to 90 days and 6,000km. Every day and km driven after that reduced the 'counters' in the HUD until I reached zero. Once I got to within 30 days of needing an oil change, the SFS would beep one-time every time I started the car as a gentle reminder that I was closing in. Eventually I ended up going past 90 days and the counter actually went into negative numbers, showing me that I was actually X number of days BEYOND the recommended service.

I eventually brought my SFS in for it's first oil change about 8 days late and when I received it back, the techs had reset the counter so I've now got another 90 days and 6000km count down in the HUD.

 

It was the washer fluid and not the oil or tire pressure, I just added a bottle of washer fliud and the warning went away...

 

If you use the buttons on the steering wheel to highlight the triangle, the top button.

Then use the down arrow button, middle one.

it will scroll through the reminders/concerns. (low tire, oil change, door ajar, washer fluid,etc.)

If you hold the bottom button on the service mileage, it will reset.

All in the manual.

I have the same problem, I have been told it is a service reminder. It came on at 15000 miles but the garage says I can bring the car in at 20000 miles. so it will remain on in the meantime.

 

Before we had computers my Mazda had a specific warning light for each error. It covered washer fluid, burned out taillights and a couple other things.

The easiest way to fix it was the roll of electrical tape I kept in the glove box...

With my Cavalier, I practiced ignorance...ignore the lights until I could afford to see what was wrong!

Washer Fluid Exclamation Warning

Hey Everybody....I am hoping that someone can answer this question for me.

I recently had a small fender bender which cracked my washer fluid bottle.
The fluid drained out of it, triggering the warning exclamation light.
Took it to the dealer & had repairs made & new bottle installed, but the warning light is still on.
Is there a wire or sensor that I can easily access & put back on so I can cancel this light, or do I have to take it back into the dealer to have them do it?

You might see it if you pop the cover from the bottom, front of right tire panel. Believe its 2 clips, fold it down and take a look.
