I’m no expert; but I’d have a service writer or tech take a ride with you. Is the noise always or intermittent? Our cars (Nline) do have pretty low profile tires but I think my car is quiet. Just a suggestion. Also don’t discount the rim being bent if you bought it used; and the damage could be on the inside of the rim with no damage showing. Even if you bought new could have had a salesman take it out for an adventurous lunch break and hit a curb.

 

That's a good idea. Thanks! I purchased it new. It currently has around 1300 miles on it. I was wondering if it was possibly a bad wheel bearing or cv axle, but like you said, it could also be a bent rim.

 

You could also move the wheel and tire to the back and see if the noise changes.

 

On my 2015 the original Kumho Solus tires are the noisiest I've ever seen. A good test is to find a patch of road surface that was recently redone, the tire should become quiet. But a cheap tire is going to be noisy especially on older rough asphalt

 

Just in case, dit you check de tire pressure whit a good gauge, 33 psi

I have a 21 sel plus which also comes with 19" low profile tires and measured 70-72 dB on my phone going 50 mph on smooth asphalt.

I run 35psi front and 33psi rear checking air pressure frequently based on daytime ambient temperatures.

 

I have the all seasons and 3000 miles on mine and I think it’s actually really quiet. My last daily was a Lexus es350

 

Take some duck tape and tape your meter to the left front fender above the tire, then do the same to the right side and compare the readings.

Just purchased a '22 Sonata N Line a couple of months ago. Ever since the first week that I had it, I've noticed a lot of road noise that appears to be coming from the left front tire. When driving the car, it feels and sounds like my left front tire is made of stone! I decided to download a decibel meter on my phone (of course the accuracy of the app could be off a little) and it's registering around 80db when cruising at 50mph in normal mode. I've taken it back to the dealer once already and they said nothing was wrong with it. On the interstate, the tire noise is almost as bad as my previous Jeep Wrangler with a soft top. Has anyone else experienced this?

Do you every find a resolution? I have a 2023 N Line Sonata with 612 miles and between 60 and 65 MPH get a roaring sound/ton of road noise.
