Do brake lights come on when Ioniq brakes automatically?

When I'm driving my Ioniq on the motorway and using cruise control, the car will brake (quite heavily if required) when a slower car is in front.
Does anyone know if the software switches on the brake lights during this braking? Logically, it seems to be right that the brake lights do come on, as safety is compromised for following vehicles, otherwise.

Yes they do, if you look in your rear mirror you will see the front reflective white number plate of the following car turn red during your cars braking sequence. You can also see the red reflection from the hi level light under the rear spoiler reflecting slighty in the lower glass panel.
Has to be at night to see the above. ?

Thanks Turbonut and Steve, that's confirmed what I suspected. I've never been able to see the reflections in the mirror, though. 3 bars on the regen braking means brake lights on. Excellent!
