Brake pedal vibrations

Hello!

When I apply my brakes my pedal feels like the abs is coming on, not sure why. Put a scanner on that check for abs faults but nothing came up, only thing I can think that I can do if get a scanner that will show live data of the speed sensor. I'm assuming if one is not reading wright it would cause this kind of problem. I hope that somebody here may have a better insight into what is going on with my car. My car is a 2017 Tucson 2.0l, bought this used but starting to wonder about it. It burns over a 1L of oil in under 1000km, I know there is a recall but dealership told me that is normal amount of oil and not to come back until the motor dies. Anyway would love to fix this brake thing because it really annoying and it happens almost every second time I use it.

thanks for your time!

Sounds like you have out of round rotors.

Put a scanner on that check for abs faults
Does the scanner read the ABS module?

If it were not sending a good signal it ill code. Don't assume things.

Tell them you want them to do oil consumption tests on it.

Be mindful of Tone ring on each axle. Been stories of finding cracked rings lately, and goofed wave pattern will trigger ABS activation (loud pump hum and pedal shake)

Rotor face run-out make for shake in front when apply brake pedal

Might find something in live wheel speed data, not sue, have to look and see if 1 looks skewed for speed

I wonder if your issue is the same as the Kia Sportage I diagnosed yesterday, which is pretty much a Tucson in disguise. The ABS was activating under light braking just as the car was about to come to a stop. As Dog Patch says, this problem is often caused by a cracked ABS tone wheel, usually on one of the front drive shafts. No trouble code was being logged. But you can see the glitch on the data list if you graph the wheel speed sensor data. I didn't take a screen shot of the graphs from the Kia today. But I found this shot from a Hyundai I diagnosed a while back...

Does the ABS light come on when ABS is activated?
No, because the incorrect speed signal is still plausible. So it isn't recognised as a fault by the ABS module. The module just thinks the wheel is losing traction which is why the ABS is activated.

Could OP temporarily pull the ABS fuses to see if the problem go away?
I suppose he could. But the module will recognise that as a fault and switch on the ABS/ESP warning lights.

Well, with itcracked it no longer shrink fit to OD of joint, so removing be simple task

To install new ring, I just take and heat the ring so it expand, then quickly drop it on the OD of joint where it s&old be, let cool to shrink and grip. Makesure you cleanedOD where ring to set in place

That definitely sounds like the same problem I have had since new! I had them check it at the dealer, they could find nothing wrong. They did not do that wheel sensor test. Is it difficult to do and what is required? It is worse on a dry cool day than on a rainy wet day. It vibrates as I come to a gradual slow stop, particularly with a slight downhill.
I now have 18,600 KMs on my 2019 Tucson Perfection Trend

It's very easy to do. All your doing is driving the car at a fairly constant speed for a few hundred yards.
To do it you would need a scan tool that is able to communicate with the ABS module, and have the ability to graph the sensor data. I mention a couple of DIY tools that should be able to do that in THIS POST.
