Yesterday it was raining a lot here in Quebec and for the first time my passenger carpet floor was soaked with water.
I've look up here and found some thread but nowhere to learn how to drain the water from the A/C wich is the problem because it's clogged.
Went to the dealer this morning and this wouldnt be on warranty so instead of paying them 90$ i'd do it myself.

I've had multiple of vehicule and this is the first time i have to deal with this kind of issue and it really piss me off...

Anyone has a DIY?

Not warranty if clogged,, as clogging is end result typically of spider finding new home, or bees/wasp doing same.. that is not a maker' material / workmanship fault

Interesting. Recently Mazda recalled lots of vehicles due to spiders building nests and clogging fuel system vents. Granted it was more of a safety issue, but still not a manufacturer defect. I guess the original poster needs to find the drain where it exits the cabin and make sure it's a clear.

You might find it inside the cabin and pull the rubber drain off the hard plastic nipple and then clear it from the inside, top, to the outside. Use a stiff piece of wire to push out any debris. Be gentle so you don't damage the drain tube. Maybe a blast of air after. Should be easier than under the car I think. I looked at mine and I can access that way. Good luck.

As SVTfocus03 mentioned the location of the drain is on the passenger side right where the left foot would be. So basically i had to remove the rubber hose and drain it so it would remove all the water that was accumulated instead of running down the drain.

Dealer charged me 32$, took 40 minutes and they cleaned and dried my carpet wich only the front passenger one was wet. Not THAT bad IMO.

They'll tell you the same thing they told me, ''If you came the make the services every 20k km, we would have got this cleaned for you''.

Dont get me wrong, ive never been to the dealer except for a couple thingy under waranty, always do my own oil services and maintenance and this is the first time it ever happened and i just hit 56,000km.

So i guess that, yes, it's a mater of taking care of it and not a faulty design.
