Threw a code tied to the downstream O2 sensor. The O2 wires go into a rubber grommet under floorpan, under the front passenger seat. I popped it off expecting to see a connector, but the wire just continues. It is under the passenger seat somewhere.

Where is the connector located, and how do you get to it to replace the sensor?

Chat GPT said to pull the plastic cover on the door sill and peel up the carpet, but that doesn't seem right... or at least is missing a step.

This is the downstream sensor by the cat. Thanks.

Thank you. Looking underneath from above to try to line up the hole, I saw ANOTHER opening which is why I thought it was under the seat. It is a 2012. Just came back from the car to see your post, thanks.

Two flat horizontal pieces of plastic under center console. Popped off a round cap, undid screw. Smaller piece closer to the motor pulls off w/2 clips, then slide it back to the trunk it comes off. Peal back carpet from front left side of passenger footwell and you find the connection.

Appreciate the help.
