Grant - My friend - You really need to write down on paper and think about what you want to post. Then, get someone else to read it and ask for their opinion. Can they read it and understand what you are trying to convey? Maybe they can assist you with re-writing the text with punctuation added. In my opinion (I am sorry to be so blunt) - I think no one replied because they can't really understand your jumbled post! OK, I think you are stating that on your 1st 2024 SC SEL - the Forward Collision Avoidance (FCA) - did not work (or not installed). Dealer runs VIN, and they tell you after running the VIN - that your truck "doesn't have one" - even though they agree with you that it should have this feature. Someone called Hyundai weeks ago - but no reply. You picked up your truck (and I am assuming ) - while you still at the dealer - you go and trade your 2024 SEL for another 2024 SEL with Activity Pack. Then you state, that a month prior to making this trade - you had a bed cover and a bug deflector installed on the previous 2024 SEL. Now, here is where your post confuses me most. If I understand correctly, you have already bought the new SEL with the Activity Pack. Afterwards, you called Hyundai for about a month to help you - but they said there is nothing they can do? You feel that this is a safety problem where someone could get killed (and I totally agree). The bottom line: You lost $7000 trading in a 2024 SC SEL for another SC SEL. This time with the Activity Package added! And, this is all because the Forward Collision Avoidance either didn't work - or as you state - wasn't installed on the 1st SC? It irks me when I read where someone has been taken advantage of when car-buying. This is definitely one of those times! Shame on the dealer sales department for taking advantage of you like this! That was a horrible decision for you to trade-in your 1st SEL Santa Cruz in all because of the FCA not working to buy another SEL with Activity Pack! Yes, it is a very important safety feature to have. But, you should have gotten someone to go back with you to that dealers service department - or at another dealer's service department - to see if they could get the point across with your concern before trading in your 1st Santa Cruz and losing all that money!
