Hi all,
I've been in the SFSU for about 3 years, I've got 46k miles on it today. I had badly warped rotors that started about 20k miles, of course, I complained to the dealer and read the rules of the warranty I learned and expected that the rotors are not under warranty. I knew that but had to ask since I had a really bad shimmy in the front end maybe it was something else??... I ended up turning all 4 rotors by my mechanic's place, which made it better but still had the Grab n' Go's in simple stopping action, that got really bad especially stopping on a downgraded highway, it got terrible. so with a lot of research, I opted to replace the rotors and pads including the parking brake shoes (those buggers are hard to find and the hardware is even harder). I'm about 800 miles into the Z23 Powerstop upgraded rotors and Ceramic Zinc pads low dust, etc... WOW, what a difference in no more Grabn' Go's, NO MORE SHIMMY, and no NOises from the left rear... this was such a great investment. I didn't see any other post on t his so I thought id let you all know.
Awesome results and I'd definitely recommend the Z23 Powerstop upgrade kit w/ drilled/slotted rotors with Carbon Fiber Ceramic Pads. as a matter of fact here is the Amazon Link for the front and rear replacement: Amazon.com: Power Stop K8009 Z23 Evolution Sport Front & Rear Brake Kit- Brake Rotor and Carbon-Fiber Ceramic Brake Pads: Automotive
I added some pics as well, let me know if there are any questions or comments...
Have a great day!

Hi sure thing-
I did find both on Amazon after lots of looking though, they didn't pop up as easy as Amazon does usually ... they both took almost 2 weeks for delivery.
1- the hardware kit is:: :Amazon.com: ACDelco 18K2708 Professional Rear Parking Brake Hold Down Spring Kit with Hardware: Automotive
the Drum parking brake pads are:
2- Amazon.com: Power Stop B1042 Rear Autospecialty Brake Shoes: Automotive
good luck, these worked out great for me, My SFSU drives so much better with the Z23 Evolution 4 wheel Brake kit on... man I should have don this long ago...!!
let me know how you make out, a few small but important things, 1-make sure you get and apply new lithium grease and 2- !!!FOLLOW the Immediate Break In procedure dictated by Power-stop, !!! I called Power-stop when i received the kit and validated the part numbers , there are a couple of SFSU scenarios, so be sure...just my own thing that i wanted to be sure before i took the wheels off.. Happy to help, and i knew i couldn't be the only one with this issue :) Good Luck!
