I’m looking for any recommendations on an exhaust system that’s not too loud but aggressive? Seems to be pretty hard to find parts for this particular vehicle.

Evilla Motorsports has a great mid pipe for the car but you'd lose the second cat which isn't really necessary.
If you've got the hatch he also has a good cat back completing the exhaust you're looking for.
If you have the sedan you'll have to go to a local muffler shop to get what you want done for the cat back.

The exhaust should sound awesome with the Evilla mid pipe and good over axle cat back.
There's really not much else out there so good luck.

Hyundai Accent sound clip

A sound clip @ 5500 rpms. Cat back, mid cat delete, 60mm throttlebody, AEM cold air, and some other goodies.

That sounds really good! Is that just a resonator delete and a muffler put on? I'm only wondering because I think I want to take mine back and get it a bit louder and have it make more pops and burbles

It has the Evilla cat delete mid pipe with resonator and the bullet muffler as seen in the videos.
The main difference between the first video and second is the header.
Removing the stock exhaust manifold and adding the header makes the exhaust sound meaner and more open.

You could try to remove the resonator if you have one and see what it sounds like. It may get a bit raspy without the resonator.
Mines a bit raspy but the sound of a good exhaust on a 1.6 is one of the beat sounds next to a flat plane crank V8 or 2JZ exhaust. 😍

Best advice I can give is just do it. Let the exhaust guy know that you may re-install the resonator so make sure he cuts off the resonator to where it can be re-installed if you don't like it.
That's exactly what I'd do if I were in your shoes. 👍😉

Sounds good, thank you very much! Do you know if the secondary cat delete adds a lot of volume or not?

Removing it will make the car louder and allow better flow. 👍
