I bought my 2011 Limited at $250 off MSRP. But one needs to remember in early 2011 (March), there were waiting lists a month long. It wasn't uncommon for dealers to stick an addendum sticker of $2,000 for, as they lovingly referred to it, "Market Adjustment Value." Interpreted as: MORE PROFIT MARGIN.

I flew to Virgina to drive mine back to Oklahoma. There were zero Radiant Silver Limited's in a 9-state region of Oklahoma. I told the dealer over the phone I wasn't going to pay for airfare AND extra profit. Thus, I felt I got a heck of a deal under the circumstances at that time.

I traded it in for a 2013 and got more in trade than I paid for it. If you knew the kind of owner I am and how OCD I am, you would understand. 2011 went straight to the lot. No detail shop needed. The carpets nor mats ever had a shoe on them. Not so much as socks. "Showroom!"

Dealer put it on his lot for $2,000 more than I paid for it new, 17 months earlier. I can verify the market statements to the high residual value of these cars. Provided, of course, you maintain & take care of it properly.

OK, I'm off my soap box. Thanks for your patience. ;)

2013 Elantra Limited, Tech Pkg, (plus a few dealer added goodies that I didn't bother having them delete), almost $4500 in dealer discount, incentives, and 'Motozuma' $500 matching 'savings account' thing, final price $22,442.28, TTL and all included.

The Motozuma thing, you transfer (as much as you want) as a 'savings account', and Hyundai 'matches' it up to $500. I made the deal, the dealer wrote it up even before the funds were 'available' to them (I had confirmation that I had transferred my $500 funds).

There's a $750 cash back and $750 'competing car owner' thing, expires after 4/30, altho I'm sure they'll have more promotions after that.

My parents swear by CR, almost like it's the Bible of car buying, lol...

You're totally allowed to mention/recommend products and services; we do it here all the time. :) What's not allowed is being a spammer, with the sole purpose of going to a bunch of different threads, posting links to their website or whatever.

'13 GLS with preferred pckg, splash guards, cargo net, tray, floor mats - MSRP aroung US $19,900. Heard on the radio a dealership 1.5hrs away from me offers $3,000 trade-in allowance on any vehicle, in any condition/mileage, so I took in my $500 '97 Altima. -$750 competitive owner discount, -$750 for financing through Hyundai (had to finance at least $7K to get this, but will pay it off within a month without penalty)= $15,400, +Tax, Title, License fees= $17,000 OTD. Great deal if u ask me, considering the Auto tranny on my Alty was going out, and CEL was on with 3 different codes, and it was rusted to **** :)

BTW the deal is still going on, so if anyone's interested let me know. Mods, can I post the dealers info on here or through PM only?

$23266.96 total including tax. That's a Limited with Tech Package and tint at their tint shop. The car has all North American Options. It was financed @1.9% for 3 years, but I put down $12K plus my trade car, and paid off the balance 60 days later.

$4000.00 Was my trade, I purchased the car, road hazard replacement/reimbursement for tires AND wheels for 5 years or 125,000 miles ($5000.00 limit), and Platinum services contract for 5 years or 125,000 miles. All of it is in the price noted above.

I think I got a sweet deal.

Wasn't recently looking for Elantra & done no research. Previously, I had tried to find a manual at a deal, with no luck. Our Hyundai dealer had just moved a few miles & had a 'grand opening' with the normal auto dealer 'suck-in the sucker' ads. But I played a sucker & wandered in a day late, asking Ray if they had any low-ball ad GLS cars left. He said yes they did, expecting one with a color I hated, & no accessory packages. He led me to the red GLS, the only color I did love.

For $15,450, I had to accept the extra Preferred Package, carpeted floor mats, auto dimming mirror, mudflaps, & auto tranny. I told Ray, I'd call him a bit later & made a run over to a Chevy dealer to see if they had a good deal on a Cruze. They didn't.

With 2 hours left in their 'grand opening', I called Ray & he still had the car. With only a fair deal on my trade-in, we still made the deal, at a time, I thought I wouldn't buy a car for some years in the future. Simple, little time involved to out-think myself, & no cajoling about price, except for the trade-in.

On 4/15/13, Elantra Limited, MSRP $24,680, dealer discount $2280.00, equals $22,400. I then got a discount from Hyundai Finance of $750.00 plus another $750.00 for owning a competitor's car and $500.00 military rebate which takes another $2000.00 off $22,400 for a total of $20,400 for the car. Tax rates will differ so I won't give the out the door price.

Rebates are different for the month of May
