I rotated the tires and gave it a visual inspection. Nothing seemed loose or bent, apart from the shroud around the suspension fork had been pulled back which I doubt has anything to do with the fault. Just took it down the freeway it felt 10times better. I could still feel the wobble a little but it was not close to how it was the other day. From looking at the wheels nothing was visually wrong with any of them and I can't pinpoint where the problem is coming from.is it common not to see a buckle in a rim or would it be apparent if that were the problem? I saw a test on YouTube that I'm going to perform next week, I'll keep you posted.

 

Get it up in air where you can watch tread as tire rotates, looking for twitch/hop/shift in tread as tires rotates..

Original tires ? New tires ? What brand and model ? Balance up to date and nailed down to minimum ? 2 plane balance or single ? 2 plane balance preffered..

Measured RFV numbers ?

 

I usually go for simplest solution, first. A wheel balance from a reputable tire shop might be the answer. In this case, "simplest" is also the "cleanest." My hands don't get dirty.

If that doesn't correct it, look for guilty suspension components. My money's on the balance. But, I'm not real wealthy so there's not a lot riding on that wager. :wink2:

Twitchiness, where the car feels to be over reacting to the slightest steering input can also be a symptom of Electric assist Power Steering, enjoy! If you still have the problem after wheel balance, suspension and alignment checks as others have suggested give your dealer a call and see if there are any outstanding service bulletins pending or any 'adjustments' that can be done to improve (or in this case deaden) steering response.
