You shouldn't have to remove the radiator(although I've never done it before). Just looking at it, I think if you remove the bumper and the skid plate on the bottom, I think you could get to both bolts on it. If you haven't removed the bumper before, just take out both headlights to get to the two hidden bolts to remove the bumper. All the other bolts and fasteners are fairly easy to get to. Takes about half an hour. Take a look at the pictures on this link, just below the package of what you are buying:

Thanks, that is some good news. I had taken the bumper off in anticipation of swapping the oil cooler out, so not only am I familiar with that, but all of those nasty, rusty screws and bolts are now cooperating. I was just looking from the ground, I'll have to put it up and see if I can see the attachment points with a little better angle. I can't seem to find any reference anywhere on specifically where this thing bolts to, which seems odd, but my Google-fu may not be so terribly strong today :smile:

Be a good time to chase the old transmission fluid out. You could use the engine to push two quarts of fluid out at a time out of the tranny cooler. Have to do a pan dump of the transmission and put in fresh there first. That's the way I change out trany fluid.

 

Call dealer to run VIN for cooler tube recall.. still some out there that aint seen dealer aisle in yrs..

Warranty give 66 minute to do the replacement.. bump cover off, on rack is easier, bolt on flange for tube assembly to radiator tank.. I unbolt upper core supprt, and center brace, then lift driver side of radiator/condenser to pass old tube out, and slip new tube in,,, just dont put hole in condenser or radiator....

DON'T ASK HOW I KNOW ABOUT THAT TRICK......

Search for Hyundai document 02-01-011 for instructions on doing the job

Thanks again, guys. Finally got the part in, as the only active recall on my vehicle is for coil springs. In Hyundai document 02-01-011 it indicates that hose clamps come with the part, but there aren't any in the bag, I'm assuming there's no way to re-use those dreadful things that are on there now, right? I'll grab a bag of worm-drive type clamps before I dig in to this thing this AM.

 

Tube kit called in recall is 25470-26A00... tubes and clamps (we have 2 of them on shelf)

Clamps is availabe as service part.. I'd shy away from "worm clamps"..


The bag I have has the tube assembly in it, and also includes a bag of (4) 25331-38215 clamps

Sound like they sold you the non-recall part....
