12v battery not always charging

Hi, I have a 2019 Kona EV which I bought new. A couple years ago the 12 V battery died so I had the vehicle towed to the dealer. The dealer charged the battery and said everything was fine, (because they did not see an error code). They could not explain why the battery was not charging. Yesterday, the 12v battery had discharged again, (after a week of no use), so I recharged it and the car runs. I’m wondering why the battery is not being recharged sufficiently from the traction battery as it is supposed to. Has anyone else experienced this? As an aside, the traction battery was replaced a couple years ago during the recall. Thanks

My 12 volt battery on my 2020 Kona ev 9000 miles on the clock had gone flat 4 times, first time was my fault but other 3 times went flat for no reason.Called the AA all they did was charge for a few minutes and the car started.
When i took it to the main agent they just shugged their shoulders as to why it had gone flat and said to replace the battery making a big point that 12 volt batteries only have a 2 year warranty.
Cost of £126 so lets see if this fixes the fault?

this is also a problem with the ioniq cars. there is some evidence that there is a draw on the battery, like a dashcam in parking mode. some say if your phone is close enough to the car, it will keep draining the battery. even alarm systems, or something connected to the obd port. i have a battery minder, and i can check the battery, which i do a lot. they are cheap, and then you can be alerted when the battery needs to be charged. they also will keep a log of the voltages, so you can see when stuff happens

I've had the same problem with mine. Looking in the manual (and threads elsewhere), there was an option called aux battery saver+ which charges the battery when necessary from the EV battery. When this happens the little light in the Hyundai symbol on the front of the car turns on. I don't have the option available, possibly since a software upgrade? The feature is not working, I have now had a flat battery 5 times. Invested in a little emergency battery pack which has saved the day several times now. Battery tested today and was fine. Charger connected now.

we have an ioniq 5. lots of posts about battery failure. we have a battery minder, and i check it several times a day. it shows when it is charging, voltage, and more. most of the time, when it is in charge mode, the charge time is very short. and, most of the time, when in charge mode, the orange lite is NOT illuminated. we also do NOT use bluelink, or any other app that can talk to the car.
