No, I don't think it has heated de-icers. I looked at my Ult. and I see no wires in the windshield to de-ice. wipers

 

That's a great question and it's extremely disappointing that the Santa Fe doesn't have it. Especially when it is almost impossible to lift the wipers once they are stuck frozen.
If you lift too much, you'll hit the hood and scrape the paint.

 

I have owned several cars with heated windshields and they never worked really great....it took too long to melt the snow or ice.

 

You might try this method. I've never tried it but it seems logical that it would work without damaging any surfaces. It's cheap and easy to make, just keep a spray bottle handy in your vehicle:

search would find the answer. but the answer is... for 2019 they hid the wipers under the hood.. so the only way to put them up is to put them into "service mode".
vehicle off, push the wiper stalk up a few seconds.


Pain in the ass but not uncommon in vehicles.

Funny, your post doesn’t mention the problem that you think you have. ????

 

2017 Sante Fe xl, wiper motor freezes on cold days , does not work at all. Going to contact the dealer but ?? Also find wiper arms and blades are too far down and don't get the heat off of the windshield defrosting action. Not great living with Canadas winters. I bought the fricking thing for the dependability and all wheel drive so I can get around now if it snows or rains REALLY? This a safety issue and should be recalled!

 

Fer gawdsakes, there is something wrong with your wiper motor. See the dealer! I had a similar problem with my ‘14 SFS.

 

I buy the strongest windshield de-icer washer fluid I can and put it in a spray bottle to clear the ice in the morning. Home depot had rain X -49F fluid on for $3.79/gallon a while ago. I bought 3 gallons and works pretty well.
