I have also thought about a light bar across the top as well. Maybe a bull-bar with rally lights as well.

I would like to also know what people have done to their SFS as the North American aftermarket market seems a little lack luster.

 

If the newer years like your '18 don't have it, LED footwell lighting is one of my favorite easy and cheap mods that my friend DINO2K talked me into. Really nice for front and rear footwells. You can search that and many others like PlastiDip the front grill that many like me have done also.

The light bar is cool looking and great as take down lights (but overkill for my purposes and perhaps adds wind noise?)

 

There’s not too many aftermarket mods for our platform but I’m sure there’s a few good ones out there. I have a few mods in my signature for my SF XL, might not be what you’re looking for but it should give you some ideas that you can do for your SFS.

I used a small cabinet silicon door stop on my heated steering button, so I can turn it on and off without looking, I just have to feel the bump and press.... hugely useful imo. best mod so far.

I think all of my mods are in my signature...

I've struggled to find any other readily available Santa Fe mods that I liked, aside from generic things like wheels/suspension/paint/wrap. There's not a lot out there, so I focused primarily on the easy things like LED's EVERYWHERE!

 

VanillaThrilla what mods do you have. I'm trying to find a downpipe. Wondering if one from a sonata or optima with the GDI would fit?

 

Tinted front windows to 20%. Going to add LED headlights.

Other than that just functional stuff (led conversion, glove box light, basslink subwoofer, and tow hitch)

Been thinking about OEM hid light and autolevel retrofit but having trouble sourcing complete headlight assemblies

I added some simple ones to my 2017 SFS Ultimate. No biggies but here they are:

- Tinted front windows to match the rear ones
- LED foglights
- Running boards
- Interior LED lights
- Rear turn signal LED lights
- License plate LED lights

Not sure if this one counts as a mod or not: Front and rear dashcams

Next and final will probably be a trailer hitch so I can hook up my hitch-mounted bike rack.

I have a white 2017 SFS Ultimate. It has the black wheels and I added red trim rings to break up the black wheel and tire combo. Turned out pretty nice. Also, added a double pin stripe below the window line.

 

I like that. Wonder what it would look like on the silver/charcoal combo.

Looks good. What was your price on those rims and tires?

 

They have all colors, may be grey/silver or red. I am very happy with mine, already saved damage to the wheel with a curb scrape. I have the rings with tabs that fit between the wheel and tire, no glue.

 

Did you have to remove the tire from the rim to install?

No, jack up the car, full deflate and install the ring. Install by hand first all around the tire then use rubber mallet to tap all the way in. Inflate the tire and lower the wheel.

I bought a ‘17 SFS Ultimate AWD back in June and I have to say...I love this car! Would like to see slightly better gas mileage but willing to overlook because the rest of the car is so perfect.

Been working on a few things to up the cars game in the last month or 2. Here’s what I’ve got so far:

Sylvania ultrabright highbeams
LED front and rear turn signals
LED yellow fog light bulbs
Full tint around the car including sun roof
K&N drop in filter. Used a Sonata model as they don’t make one specific for our cars yet.
BOV sound plate for some proud turbo ownership
ADD W1 Version 3.3 oil catch can
Luxon front strut tower brace (next purchase)

I did it myself. Ride quality has not changed much, it feels just a little harsher than stock. I actually like it better.

Came across this and had to contribute to this as SFS's don't get enough mod respect out there!

My mods are small, but collectively makes my "Sport X" unique.

I have a SFS 2.4 NA.

• 19" black Santa Fe turbo rims, Pirelli 255-55-19
• Smoked LED tail-lights
• tinted windows
• red body-side molding
• 2- 9 LED DRL on bottom of grill
• K&N Cold air Intake system and Dynomax VT muffler
• Audio upgrades
• Aftermarket installed sun-roof

 

Different badging, had calipers painted red by a professional.

 

These are all the mods I’ve done so far. 1-Cold Intake

3-Drilled and Slotted Rotors
4-Red Calipers
5-Trailer Hitch
