Recently drove my Kona during fairly heavy rain and later noticed a significant amount of water in the footwell of passenger side of the car. There was so much water that it required several large towels to absorb the water and it kept seeping through the carpet over the next few days. Cant get into the dealership until after Christmas to try and figure out a solution.
On top of that, there's also now a noise when i turn hard right, (bizarely sounds like a rainstick!) I dont think its water but hard to identify what it is. Anyone have anything like this happen or have any suggestions??
Apart from that, really like the car and has been going well. Kona 1.6turbo.

Esselle, if you have a sunroof, most likely one of the 4 drains are clogged. Open sunroof and check in each corner for a small, maybe 1/8" drain hole. Best to blow compressed air into drains. Could also run weedeater nylon cord line down the drain. Do NOT use anything sharp in drain, like safety, wire since the drain flows into a rubber tube, down the pillar, and onto ground. Hope this helped. I had found pine needles clogging my 2011 Sonata and caused floor to flood during downpour. Recently ran an ozone generator inside vehicle to rid it of ongoing musty odor. Worked great!

One way to help find a leak is to turn the heater fan on all the way, and adjust the cooling system to pull in outside air; then run a smooth and slow stream of water from a hose over all the exterior seams. The leak will show as air bubbles escaping. Sort of like checking an inner tube for a leak. Windshields have been known to leak, so check it out along with the doors and moon roof.
