Hi,

Does anyone have a way of getting the correct Instrument Cluster Variant code for a Tucson
I wish to add Music to the info screen on the dash, I know it can be done but need the variant code to enter
If anyone can do this, I'll supply all the options the car has, as I know these must also be calculated

This helps only if you have your original code for decoding to options.But I haven't), so the right way is to generate the code from VIN (VIN decoding gives the precise equipment).
But, there is another way. If you know the precise equipment of your car, you can generate the code yourself - there are 16 options: SCC, EPB, CUBIS, MDPS, ESC+ABS, TPMS, LDWS/LKAS, ECS, ABS/ESC, A/BAG, PSB, AFLS, 4WD, TCU(AT), EVP, SOS(eCall) (order is impoertant!). If you have the option - write 1, if haven't - write 0. After that we get number of 16 digits (f.e. 1101111001111110), split it to 4 groups of 4 digits - 1101 1110 0101 1110. Then, decode groups from bin to hex, got D E 5 E. This will be your code - DE5E

Of course, you need to know the original EOL code. But in most cases, it can be read from the original cluster module or simply calculated. And cluster variant encoding is used not only to code the new cluster, but also to customize the existing one, as in the example above, when you need to disable some option, such as TPMS.

Hola me puedes ayudar con este código es para un sistema ABS de un Kia el código es C1702 error de codificacio variante ,,cuando pienso hacerlo con el scanner me pide un código de 4 caracteres y no! Lo sé
