I got a check engine light and loss of power at 60,100 miles on 2017 Tucson 1.6 Limited. Dealer charging $500 to fix and not covered under warranty since over 60,000 miles. Any suggestions? Thanks.

$500 to "fix" what ?

Turbo on the engine is weak,, seen a few with fan on the hot side broken off and rattle around inside turbo housing.

had 1 that oil tube gooped with gelled oil, seized turbo,, replace engine and turbo,, was back recently for turbo, neighbor got to do it.. I just did 1 that had hot side fan broken, nuts loose that held unit to head, then the studs broke when using torque wrench.. regards to you

Had the same acceleration issues with my 2016 Tucson Sport 1.6 Turbo. Used a scanner a got a P0299 error...Turbo charger issue. Hyundai diagnosed and found the Actuator Rod was stuck and the whole actuator system needed to be replaced. They replaced the Turbo wastegate actuator... $200 part plus about $400 labor. Car accelerates like it's brand new. Also the hurky-jerky start-ups in first to second gear have dissipated tremendously. Almost a pleasure to drive now. Now if that stops the engine from guzzling a QT of oil every 1k miles I'll be really happy.
