Had to transport with seats down 2 x7 foot long gorilla racks, trunk had to slightly stay open for my trip home, anyone know how to deactivate the darn sound notification of open trunk, tried everything i could think of, litteraly everything few minutes it rings and visual notification..

On my Venue and Kona I'd flip the latch in the tailgate to the closed position, the vehicle then thinks it's closed and held by the striker.
I always make sure to tell it to open before closing it so it doesn't smash down on the striker.
