I may be buying a used hitch for my 2009 Santa fe but it does not have any bolts with it. Which replacement bolts and washer can I use? Thanks

While we're on the subject. :)

I also just got a 2009 in Canada and I am also looking to buy a used Hitch (I already have the wiring...dealer gave my hitch to another costumer before I bought it)

Since the exhaust is different, would i be right to assume I need to get a hitch that was on a 2007-2009? Since the 2010+ have different exhaust...........

Thanks

Correct. 2007-2009 have dual exhausts. 2010-2012 have single on the right.

With that being said. If the location of the right exhaust on the 2007-2009 is at the exact same location as mine (2010) then I would imagine that my hitch (Curt that is symmetrical, not the ugly "lopsided" one) would also fit the 2007 -2009. But that's a big IF.

I had a couple of hours yesterday so I decided to install the hitch. The problem was the bolt holes were so rusted the bolts would not even catch. I had a brass brush that I used to clean the holes but it did not help. So I decided to re-tap the holes to clean out the threads, the only problem was their was not a lot of room to work a tap. Took me the entire 2 hours to redo the 4 bolt holes so the bolt would screw in. Since I used all my time just to get this far the hitch will have to wait until today sometime. Hopefully now it will go smoothly.

I bought a 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe and just purchased a Curt trailer hitch for it last week. I saw someone post on here that the bolts it needed were m10-1.25x30mm. The bottom four were that size. However, the top side holes I found out were not tapped holes but passed through the frame. Meaning they are much longer screws with nuts on the ends I'm guessing? Does anyone know the thread size and length of those top bolt holes? I bought the hitch off of a guy who said he bought the wrong one, and he lost the hardware for it.
