Tire Pressure!

I have seen a few other people talk about how their tires were over inflated from the factory, but to be honest did not really pay much mind to it. Well my TPMS light went off on the wife the other night, so I checked them. It only takes a difference of 3 lbs. in our tires to set the light off, and when I checked mine all were over inflated. I had 3 of them at 39 lbs., and 1 at 36 lbs..

CHECK YOUR TIRE PRESSURE!!!!!

Check your sticker from inside the car - driver doors side...
LOL, wife took car to service to find out about light, service manager took them down to 32 and told her that is what is on the sticker on door, now I gotta go look.

I know the NF Sonata's ('06 - '10) were recommended to be at 32. I'm guessing most dealers have very little information/knowledge yet on the 2011's. I haven't checked the pressure on my 2011 yet but I definitely need to.

I'm going to give the same caveat as I did in the tire and wheel thread, make sure you measure your tire pressure when the tires are cold. Do not drive home from work and then check them.

tire pressure off the delivery truck is very high. They fill the tires above normal pressure for tie down on the truck. Since they clamp the cars down so tight on the delivery trucks they over inflate the tires to make sure they hold on the truck well.

That being said, allways check your tire pressure regularly it's a good habit and it helps maintain the tire wear....

Good Luck and Happy Hyundai!!!

I believe the sticker on the Limited says 33. I'd bet 32, as the dealer told your wife, is what's on the GLS.
Makes sense, but its still a little aggravating I need to add air because my service manager did not know what he was talking about.

Did you actually check it? I doubt the service manager would actually be the one adjusting the tires. A mechanic may have done it and done it right. All the service manager knows is that they were adjusted and was just spewing 32 psi.
