Hahaha j/k. So I removed the front bumper this evening so i can weld my A/C Condensor tomorrow. Alot easier than removing the Radiator then the condensor, and alot less work. We are going to weld the hole in it tomorrow so I can have my a/c back and running. Been like a month and half with no a/c and it sucks. Looks pretty crazy without the bumper. I also removed the wheel well liners as well to avoid any more rubbing on the tires. Alot more room in there now. Also got a couple more shots of the clearance for the guy who was looking at doing the same size tires as me. Just a little bit brighter this time. Can't wait till I have freezing cold A/C again!!

2 Bolts, in the engine bay right next to the headlights, 1 screw in each wheel well that has a phillips head and socket head in one, and 4 of those phillips head snap in things where you have to unscrew them then pull them out. Those things are a pain. There were 2 of each of those on each side of the car underneath connected to the wheel well liner. But you have to remove the headlights to unsnap the bumper underneath the headlight that is snapped to the fender. Very easy removal, only took about 25 minutes. Hardest part were the wheel well liner's because the vehicle was on the ground and not in the air.

That first head on shot you posted looks very odd, looks like the tires are just there sticking out like some ******* monster truck! :p

You could just leave the bumper off of it and gain like 200 HP, that's what the ricers do here and it seems to be a well worth it mod. Of course all that extra drag would make your mileage go down and you'll lose your washer reservior the first time a large bug strikes it but that's the price you pay for perfection!

Thanks for the nekkid pics, I still think it's cool to see what's underneath the skin. :)

Hahaha on the horn Chronic. Your welcome for the pics Hoosier. Lol on the monster truck thing. With the bumper off you can really see how much camber there is on the front wheels. Even more on the driver side wheel when the drunk driver ran me off the road into a median and I bent the lower cotrol and tie rod just a tad bit. But the alignment I did straightened it up very good, and within specs. Now it's just the caster that is off like 1-2 degrees Lol.

So I have a question to anyone out there. Do you think a set of Santa Fe springs or Tucson springs would work on my car?? I kinda like having the no front bumper, but I was thinking of modding the suspension to raise for a more rally car look so I can bomb through the desert out here. I also wanna put on a small push bar with the 4 KC Rally, or PIAA Rally lights on it. Lol. With the wheels I have now there is alot of ground clearance already and a nice set of 17" rally tires would do well for me in the desert.

Yea, I figured that out after I removed the headlights. But I figured I better be safe than sorry. Because usually when things dont unsnap I just tend to pull really hard at it and something ends up breaking. Lol, and that was the first time taking off my front bumper, so I wanted to be sure there were no other bolts.

Oh yea just another quick update, I finally have freezing cold A/C again, and it feel's gggooooddddd....

Edit: What Hyundai originally wanted $675 for, to replace the condensor, and recharge the system, I paid a total of $45 rounded up, with the weld and recharge. $28.00 for the weld, and $17.00 for the freon. I love working at a shop. Lol

Help CR! You know those white clips near the wheel wells? the little rectangular ones...please tell me u know which ones i'm talking about...I am stumped on those clips on how to get them to release the bumper...

EDIT: I got it...just took some finess. Now I have to figure out how/where to relocate the horn...

I don't remember these white clips you speak of. I didnt have to remove any to take off my bumper. I mounted my horn on the lower driver side between the bumper and condensor, there is a little hole where a screw/bolt should be and the one that holds the horn on fits perfectly. You just need to put something between the horn the part where it screws to, because if the horn touch's anything it makes a funky **** vibration sound. Lol, kinda funny. So I talked to the guy at Hyundai and he was looking in the book and said that the Santa Fe spring may work. He is gonna order a set in so we can measure the coil diameter to see if it will fit in the strut base.. Will keep you updated. Oh yea, I also put the PS2 back in the car yesterday, lol. No life....

the horn, one wire going to it or two?

if one wire, the way you bolt the horn to the chassis is important because it uses the chassis as the circuit completion...(neg ground) (its really early and im trying to think, not done with first coffee yet...)

if two wires, then mount that b itc h whereever you find a good spot!! :trophy:

Yes I do know this, and I really don't care (not to be an arse or anything), but I really just don't care. Lol. I could do something like have it fixed to my size tires, but I almost always change my tire size everytime I get new tires, so it's pretty pointless. Other than that, like I said I just dont care.
