Hi, I have a 2011 Sonata with 18" low profile tires. I want to put snow tires on either 16" or 17" in rims. Does anyone know of any other car makes that will fit the Sonata. I heard that the Toyota Matrix XR will fit. Thanks:)

Not quite that simple. You need a 5x114.3 bolt pattern but Hyundai rims have a 67.1 center bore and most other car manufacturers are smaller. The Sonata also has a +46 offset.

So you want to look for rims that fit those specs. You can play with the offset a bit but not the others.

I am going through the exact same exercise right now myself. I was in at the dealership today and they had a set of Blizzacks mounted on 17" rims with a price tag of - $2200!!!! Same tire on some black steel rims was $1600 for the set.

I'm not going less than 17" on my car until I can confirm that a 16" will clear the calipers etc.

So far the only car manufacturer that also uses a 67.1 center bore is Mitsubishi. There are a couple of others but generally it isn't very common.

The way I will likely go is rather than some type of OEM wheel I will get aftermarket rims with hub-centric rings.

A lot of Nissan rims are 66.1. 1mm too small on the hub but they won't go on.
